Sykes picot agreement
This is the agreement that many people say perpetuates the violence in the middle east as it drew up borders on geography instead of ethnic groups leading to the high ethnic tensions that result in bloodshed for example the Turkish - Kurdish conflict is among the most infamous as the Kurd's were grouped together with the Turks and that led to you guessed it racial tensions and war. This is not specific to turkey there are instances of this in Iraq, Syria, Iran, and many other middle eastern countries.
After the collapse of the ottoman empire the British and the french cut up the middle east under spheres of influence the British and French would administrate the territories however they pleased. The Arabic people rebelled against the ottomans under the direction of the British and the French, in turn the British and the French would give the people their countries of course the British A, made sure their occupied land would be diverse causing the people of the region to be paranoid of one another causing them to focus on one another instead of them. or B didn't care about the ethnic groups of the region and sought to just split the land between the french or C its none of these and their motives are so dark and evil a normal person can't understand it.
Of course the splitting of the land no matter the reason why it was split like that caused ethnic tensions that have perpetuated the violence that was present in the middle east before the days of the ottoman empire. Many groups are still fighting the people they were grouped in with the Sykes picot agreement. In the ancient Kurdish religion good and evil are locked together in a never ending fight and the Skyes Picot agreement has done the same locking two together ethnic groups that shouldn't be together
Excellent post about the Sykes Picot Agreement. I especially love how you break your argument into parts, making it easier to read and comprehend such a difficult concept. I like your connection between the legislation and the Kurdish culture. Do you believe that the Sykes Picot Agreement, and other secret treaties, are acceptable in today's society?
