broadcasted the full event live and it gave them publicity on magazines such as Time. With the birth of a 24-hour news channel, it allowed people with different schedules to keep up with what is happening in America. Since CNN was created, it has lead a lot of networks to implement different timeslots for news coverage and better keep the American people updated on current news, whether that is local or the whole country.

It's interesting to see how the news media largely began in this country. The media has had such a huge role in the culture, politics, and identity of the nation. Understanding the rise of it is significant.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! The television age and news really changed the political landscape and the campaign strategy for elections. The best example of the effect of the new visual news being a game-changer is the 1960 elections. In the presidential debate between Rosevelt and Nixon that was aired throughout the country, Roosevelt maintained a much more visual appearance, sweating less and maintaining confidence. The visuality of the news really affected peoples news on candidates.
