Who didn't like FDR

FDR as we learned in class was the very progressive leader that brought America out of the depression with job reforms and the new deal. He is considered to be one of America's best presidents... or was he? One of FDR's greatest achievements was taking the United States out of the depression, funny thing is, this is not true, FDR actually lengthened the time the depression, most of the European countries had already recovered before America did. According to the Wall Street Journal, FDR's Alphabet Soup policies did more bad than good, they failed to create sustainable jobs. Also because of the high raise of taxes entrepreneurs were discouraged from investing. With the new jobs that he did create they were only temporary and created a huge national debt. For sure we know he was not nice to his fellow Americans because, during World War 2 FDR sent over one hundred thousand Japanese men, women, and children to internment camps with no trial. Japanese people whos family could have been living in the states for years had their homes and businesses taken from them and sent to camps in the middle of the desert. He turned a blind eye to Hitler's anti Semitic policies during Hitler's reign and even refused to take in German Jewish refugees who were on the USS Louse on the coast of Florida. His morals were messed up and he was a power hungry man, he felt that he could not replaced and ran for 4 terms, breaking the great tradition that every president can run up to two terms. All in all FDR is not the president that everyone makes him out to be and the US could have gotten out of the depression without him.
